Experienced Apartment Manager needed for two affordable comm... Job Opening in Portland, Oregon - Experienced Apartment Manager needed for two affordable communities.
We are looking to add a member to our team with Tax Credit (Section 42) experience who is organized and enjoys working in a positive environment. This is a full time, 40 hour/week position. Scheduled working hours are Monday ? Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Salary is $20/hr DOE.
This position is split between two properties on the North East side. Dawson Park Apartments is the larger of the two, it is a newer 67 unit community that features open floor plans. It is located just across the street from the beautiful Dawson Park off of N. Vancouver Ave. The smaller property is Fenwick Apartments, a 27 unit community conveniently located in the Kenton neighborhood.

Duties include:
Office Management
Leasing
Basic accounting
Keeping resident rental records
Working with vendors
Resident relations
Working with Resident Service Coordinators
Working with case managers
Completing Tax Credit certification paperwork
Grounds, light maintenance
Job requirements:
Strong math skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Good time management
Computer skills including proficiency in Word and Excel
Strong crisis management skills
Previous experience in apartment management
Knowledge of building systems, alarms, and preventative maintenance are all preferred. Experience processing Section 42 certifications is a must. (Applicants with HUD or similar experience will be considered.)
