JOB SUM MARY :
The Data Loss Prevention/Privacy Analyst should be familiar with Data Loss Prevention, have a solid understanding of data protection for large enterprises. Must have excellent self-directing skills, ability to initiate, coordinate and prioritize responsibilities and follow through on tasks and projects, excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent team work skills and ability to collaborate with a diverse tem of skilled cybersecurity professionals, excellent written and oral communication skills. The ideal candidate for this position is an intermediate to low-senior level professional with at least 5 years of IT experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Attend meetings and liaise with key stakeholders such as coordination of DLP scans and deployment with system owners
Work with privacy officers and technical staff to explain data protection principles
Consult with business areas on Personally Identifiable information (PII) collection, minimization, appropriate use, information sharing, proper handling and disposal
Assist with assessment of privacy controls
Provide timely updates on assigned projects
Produce reports/dashboards, etc. as necessary on privacy metrics, including compliance, PII inventory, program progress, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience, Competencies and Education
Bachelor?s degree in IT field of study with 5+ years of IT Security experience. Must be familiar with Data Loss Prevention and have a solid understanding of data protection for large enterprises. Excellent self-directing skills - ability to initiate, coordinate and prioritize responsibilities and follow through on tasks and projects. Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with a diverse team of skilled cybersecurity professionals. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred:
CIPP, CIPP-G, CIPP-US, CIPT, CIPM certification preferred but not required
Experience providing detailed DLP analysis support for stakeholders and internal team for resolution
Ability to multi-task, and work under pressure and to deadlines
Openness to learning and managing additional technologies as business requirements change
Experience in healthcare / financial industries is a plus
