Chief Financial Officer Job Opening in Duluth, Georgia - Small not-for-profit Healthcare Credentialing organization, in existence for over 40 years, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join the Executive Team. In this role, you will have strategic and operational responsibility for all finance, human resources and office services functions. The position is a member of the senior management team that drives the overall strategy for the organization. This position will possess deep knowledge of each functional area and operational plans.

Essential Functions
Participates on the CEO-led team that creates overall strategic initiatives.
Communicates and implements vision, mission, and overall direction within their areas of responsibility. Works collaboratively with the senior management team to integrate cross program activities and functions.
Implements strategic plan and strategic initiatives for their organization.
Develops and manages functional operating plans, policies and budgets in accordance with the direction established in strategic plans, board policies and strategic initiatives through systems that improve overall operation and effectiveness.
Maintains awareness of the external competitive landscape, constituents and industry developments in their functional areas. Maintains currency in, and keeps abreast of, developments in their functional areas and using that information as a member of the leadership team to help operate with initiative and innovation.
Leads, guides, directs, and evaluates the work of departmental staff.
Ensures ongoing programmatic excellence.
Provides leadership in inter- and intra-team communication and cohesiveness, sustaining the culture and supporting staff during organizational change and growth.
Manage relationships with partner organizations.
In the area of Finance
Directs and oversees all aspects of the Finance Department for 3 entities.
Communicates and interacts with Board of Directors; reports financial status by developing forecasts, cash flows, reporting results, and analyzing variances.
Plans, implements and manages all financial-related activities by evaluating trends, providing guidance and assuring compliance with organizational policy and Board directives.
Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; developing action plans.
Manages processes for financial budgeting and reporting.
Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results.
Develops reliable cash flow management process.
Ensures effective financial controls are in place and financial records are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Coordinates annual independent audits and 990 tax return filings.
In the area of Human Resources
Responsible for fiduciary and compliance matters for benefits, to include executive benefit programs, and 401k.
Directs and oversees all aspects of the Human Resources department.
Ensures that policies, procedures and employment practices support the workforce and are compliant with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Oversees performance management, organizational development and compensation processes.
Continuously assesses, monitors and evaluates benefits in the workplace.
Develops and promotes feedback mechanisms for employees to influence continuous improvement of culture, HR services, benefits and processes.
Fosters human capital leadership in the following areas: talent management, employee relations, employee training, employee engagement, leadership development and process improvement.
In the area of Office Services
Directs and oversees all aspects of the Office Services Department. This includes planning and implementing efficient office services and facilities operations to include:
Space allocation
Business continuity planning
Disaster preparedness
Security
Maintenance
Property management and operations
Competencies
Strategic thinking/management Leadership
Integrity/ethics Communication skills Decision making/judgement
Supervisory Responsibility. This position manages all employees of three departments to include the performance management and hiring of staff members of all these functions.
Supervisory responsibilities include work allocation, training, promotion, enforcement of internal procedures and controls, problem resolution; and motivating and mentoring staff members to achieve peak productivity and performance.

Job Education and Experience
Advanced degree in finance, accounting or business administration preferred.
CPA license a must.
A minimum of 10 years of management experience in Nonprofit OR small Healthcare Organization.
Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience.
Experience leading performance-based and outcome-based programs and staff.
Demonstrated experience in developing and operationalizing strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth.
Strong analytical skills; business acumen and a strong work ethic.
Experience as a ?player/coach" to motivate and mentor his/her team is essential.
Strong track record of handling a variety of constituencies, managing multiple tasks simultaneously and thriving in a complex environment with multiple priorities.
Proven professional experienced in finance, accounting, contracts, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP and automated financial reporting systems. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
Advanced knowledge and application of financial data analysis and preparing financial reports, statements and projections.
Demonstrated experience in fundamental human resources body of knowledge concepts and implementation.
Demonstrated experience in facilities planning, operations and management.
Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics SL preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and Excel.

Salary: $150,000.00 to $170,000.00 /year
