Community Outreach Specialist Job Opening in Milford, Connecticut - Job Summary: ThreeWire, Inc. is looking for a research coordinator (or someone with similar experience) to assist a research site with community outreach for a vaccine research study. This project schedule is flexible, but is scoped to be 12-15 hours per week for 13-16 weeks, or total 192 hours. The Enrollment Assistant will be remotely trained and managed with a high level of autonomy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Creating an outreach plan and identifying new venues.
Planning, hosting, and attending community events
Speaking with potential patients over the phone and in person
Networking with medical professionals (providers, support staff, admin, etc.)
Canvassing the site and surrounding community with study related materials.
Other administrative duties as assigned
Preferred Job Requirements:
Very outgoing and have excellent interpersonal skills.
High degree of professionalism and sensitivity to patient problems.
Well organized with attention to detail.
Must be able to drive to different outreach locations. Will be reimbursed for mileage.
Comfortable working both independently and as a team.
Experience in at least one of the following: healthcare, nursing, patient recruitment, health promotion, psychology, event coordination, marketing, sales, or communications.
Strong Preferences (ranked by importance):
Previous community outreach experience
Clinical research experience
Nursing experience (RN, LPN, CNA)
Additional Details:
Will be trained remotely utilizing web and phone conferencing (must have email and computer access for training).
Enrollment Assistant will be managed by ThreeWire but will work as a consultant to the research site with a high level of autonomy. Must be able to jump in and help in a busy environment.
