The IT Business Analyst is engaged in scope definition, requirements analysis & documentation, troubleshooting user issues, quality assurance testing and other relevant tasks that are part of our software development lifecycle and business support function. This may include the need to design, write, and/or execute ad-hoc functions, queries, and processes as required. In addition, the role will be serving to provide tier 2 application support to end users, identifying inefficiencies and issues and working with the rest of the IT group to create and implement solutions.
Responsibilities:
The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for coordinating and executing changes to World?s loan management systems and supporting the system?s users. This position also includes responsibility for coordinating new software implementations with World business divisions. This person will report to the Director of Business Relationship Management to ensure that IT and company application initiatives are completed while meeting best practice standards and compliance requirements.
Work closely with stakeholders and other IT resources to define business requirements for new technology implementations.
Responsible for business analysis deliverable in SDLC framework (Documenting requirements, delivering business design, and delivering QA plans and scripts.)
Work closely with the IT development and support staff to clarify hardware and software requirements
Document detailed requirements to clearly define the business needs, benefits, and deliverables for each project.
Acquire a working knowledge of existing technical processes, and apply this knowledge to assigned tasks and projects.
Acquire an expert knowledge of business critical software applications, and apply this knowledge in supporting end users and working with business managers on operational changes.
Participate in new software application implementation projects by completing documentation, testing and/or training tasks.
Position will follow all security guidelines and will comply with all components of our privacy and security policies.
Maintain a complete and accurate record of all project work.
Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
Required:
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Bachelor?s Degree or Associate?s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related area from an accredited institution.
3+ years of prior IT Business Analyst, IT Project Management or Quality Analyst experience.
Able to gather, document, and execute detailed specifications from high-level requirements with little supervision.
Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
Strong SQL skills are preferred.
Understanding of Relational Databases (RDMS) and reporting.
Advanced Excel skills.
Strong analysis skills.
Familiarity with data and application security best practices
Experience with Data Flows, Use Case Scenarios, and Business Process Modeling.
High degree of business acumen.
Customer service, soft skills and team interaction are critical to the success of this position.
Preferred:
Financial industry experience.
Experience with lending and loan origination and servicing systems.
Industry certifications.
Familiarity with application development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
Experience with system integrations using xml, json, ssis or other methods.
Experience with test automation software.
Working knowledge of html, javascript, css.
Knowledge of at least one programming language.
