Back fill the loss of Application Developer position and grow Hotwire in house applications department
Essential :
Play a key role in the design, installation, testing and maintenance of software systems. The programs you create will help businesses be more efficient and provide a better service. Based on your company?s particular requirements, you might be responsible for writing and coding individual programs or providing an entirely new software resource. The specifications you?ll work on will often come from executive management. Software developers will be employed across virtually all departments,, so the projects you work on can be highly varied. Sometimes you may also use ?off the shelf? software. Requiring you to modify and integrate this into an existing network to meet the needs of the business. As a software developer, your list of tasks can include: Reviewing current systems * Presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals * Working closely with analysts, designers and staff * Producing detailed specifications and writing the program codes * Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live * Preparation of training manuals for users * Maintaining the systems once they are up and running
including Educational, Work History, or Certifications:
Create and integrate features for our enterprise software solution using the latest technologies
Agile software development experience a plus
C#, MCV, HTML, javascript, css, JAVA, SWIFT
WinForms experience a plus
Develop cutting edge solutions to maximize the performance, scalability, and distributed processing capabilities of the system
Provide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues that are escalated to the C# engineering team
Work with development teams in an agile context as it relates to software development, including test driven development, automated unit testing and test fixtures
Communicate with team members to clarify requirements and overcome obstacles to meet the team goals
Actively participate in daily code reviews with talented software engineers and architects
4-7 years' experience as a key developer on enterprise projects
Software development experience including: OOP, concurrency programming, design patterns, Visual Studio, Test-Driven Development, Acceptance Testing, Transact-SQL, and SQL Server
Experience creating tools to automate the deployment of an enterprise software solution to the cloud. Azure experience a plus.
Strong object-oriented design and development experience
Knowledge of design patterns and their implementation
Multi-tier application design and development
Multi-threaded design and development
Excellent problem solving skills
Experience using automated testing tools
Experience developing your own testing tools to facilitate testing is a plus
Experience helping others to design, write, conduct, and direct the development of tests
Positive team player attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and willing to "do what it takes" to get the job done
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High degree of self-motivation to learn new methodologies that will enhance job performance as Senior Software Engineer
Applicant should be comfortable and able to present ideas to both technical and business stakeholders and facilitate strategic discussions.
Understanding of and experience creating REST based web services using Web API or similar technologies
Experience with T-SQL and basics of SQL Server database design/maintenance including query optimization
Experience with vanilla javascript and jQuery. Bootstrap, Typescript, Angular experience is a plus
iOS / Android mobile development using native languages. Xamarin / Nativescript is a plus
