Sales Director of Advanced Products Job Opening in Salt Lake City, Utah - Job Summary:
The Director of Advanced Products manages a team of Advanced Products consultants, which are the primary sales specialists and sales support resources for the North-American sales and systems engineering teams. The Advanced Products team is responsible to grow our software, service, accessory and non-corrugated consumable businesses. The Director of Advanced Products is responsible for leading the following activities: providing thought leadership, working with the Area Directors to achieve stated goals, driving non-corrugated sales growth, managing 2 nd and 3 rd horizon solution evaluation stages, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key solutions advisor, and supporting in the long-term success of the customer through non-corrugated products.

The Director of Advanced Products will also ensure the company?s advanced products efforts continue to grow by accelerating internal adoption of solutions, making sure systems engineers architect advanced products into all solutions, and meeting or exceeding goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Have an ownership mentality

Work with finance and data systems to build transparency and clear metrics

Provide thought leadership and a sense of community to the Advanced Products team

Work with the Packsize area directors to help realize stated financial and operational goals

Motivate a team of sales and solution consultants to meet or exceed Packsize?s stated non-corrugated committed revenue and actual revenue goals

Ensure Packsize becomes a trusted advisor in the minds of its customers by providing complete solutions with both corrugated and non-corrugated products

Provide in Packsize software, service, accessories, and non-corrugated consumables

Engage at all levels of supply chain, operations and IT functions to drive value-creation through Packsize Advanced Products

Develop on-going core product and non-core product business case documentation through quantifiable analysis of direct labor, value streams, supply chain processes and packaging needs

Develop detailed engineering solutions incorporating customer process/data flows and layouts

Identify product/solution capability gaps and define ways to accommodate customer needs

Work directly with Product Management to identify and incorporate related technologies (automation, material handling, packaging) into engineered solutions and proposals

Provide knowledge and training on products to peers, presales and sales staff in the organization

Partner with Product Management, Data Integration, Research and Development teams to improve Packsize non-corrugated products and engineering solutions

Work alongside Sales Operations and Field Operations teams to incorporate non-corrugated products into existing mythologies, tools, and processes

Work to ensure the long-term success of the Packsize customer through non-corrugated products

Experience and Education Required:
5 - 7 years successful track record in direct sales, sales management, and product management

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field is preferred

Experience in diagnostic, technical sales or consulting highly preferred

Experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain or business analysis required

Experience in fulfillment operations and warehousing technologies highly preferred

Demonstrated in project management/change management highly required

Experience with ERP, MRP or WMS systems required

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and SalesForce CRM preferred

High proficiency in MS Office required; Excel expertise required

Qualifications (including Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
Must have proven experience in complex, solution-based sales within related technologies

Must be interested in working the intersection of products, technologies and business development

Must be self-motivated with a proven track record of meeting targets within positions of increasing responsibility and ownership

Must have leadership, executive presence, territory planning, strategic planning and execution ability

Must have thorough understanding of complex, diagnostic selling to enterprise accounts

Must have the ability to build relationships, establish rapport, trust, and credibility with employees

Will be able to coach, develop, mentor, and train direct reports

Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, requests for product specifications, and when submitting reports

Must be hungry, humble, and smart and produce results

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Ability to travel up to 60%. Must have a valid driver?s license and good driving record

Must have a safe driving record, in accordance with current Packsize auto policy

Must be able to comply with all Packsize and Packsize?s customers? safety policies.
