We have an exciting and challenging opportunity available for a Software Development Engineer. Responsibilities for the Software Development Engineer position include the following:
The Software Development Engineer will work closely with the product engineers and senior management to customize or develop software to improve and automate product testing and engineering processes.
Perform programming in a variety of languages including LabVIEW, C++, C#, and SQL (Data Base Support).
Perform custom integration of software and hardware controls for data acquisition and automation of testing equipment.
Upgrade product testing database to sort and filter data efficiently and provide trending data for all results.
Maintain and improve in-house testing capability and automation.
Provide technical support to others.
Create and present reports to internal and external customers as required.
Participate in other engineering-related tasks/ projects.
The Software Development Engineer position requires the following:
The Software Development Engineer position requires a minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in a software development role.
Experience writing software programs from start to finish.
Experience writing scripts and programming in LabVIEW. Also prefer some knowledge or experience with any of the programming languages: C++, C#, SQL (Data Base Support).
Prior background writing programs to automate product lab testing processes would be preferred.
Prefer some knowledge of test lab data acquisition systems and lab instrumentation.
Basic knowledge and understanding of electricity and electronics.
Strong project planning skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
