More specifically, we need a Sales Support Specialist
Founded in 1997, Portland Internetworks offers Managed IT services, Internet access and telecom, technology product sales, phone systems, and technical consulting for the Portland metro area and beyond--basically, we help businesses stay connected in every possible sense. And guess what? It's your lucky day: we're looking for a Sales Support & Procurement Specialist for our team. Yes, this is seven times better than getting a pony for your birthday!
So, what does a Sales Support Specialist do?
You'll be responsible for supporting our growing sales team by assisting in the preparation and delivery of sales proposals, managing support renewals for existing hardware, and coordinating pricing and inventory with our distributors and vendors.

You need stellar communications skills and the capability to juggle multiple tasks while hitting dynamically changing deadlines. Our growing sales team is busily spending face time in front of our valued customers while you cover bases at HQ as a force multiplier to help achieve sales victories. Stuff you'll do a lot of:
Assist sales team in the preparation of customer proposals by:
Talking and listening with the sales team (Outside Sales, Account Managers, Sales Engineers, Sales Manager) about customer opportunities and needs
Entering products and services into our proposal tool (Quosal)
Reviewing and ensuring quality control of finalized proposals for the sales team before they go off to the customer. Their, there, and they're matter!
Registering sales opportunities with hardware and software vendors and distributors
Shopping around and obtaining optimal procurement pricing
Manage all warranties and support service renewals
Act as the liaison between the sales team and the procurement team upon the closing of an opportunity
Tracking of vendor incentives programs and channel rebates
Management and distribution of incoming customer referrals, leads, and inquiries from vendors and other marketing efforts
Keep detailed tracking of your sales activities and time spent on various tasks
Other stuff you'll also do:
Manage and nurture human relationships with current and new vendors
Keep up to date on new technologies, products, services relevant to our offerings
Create sales reports for regular sales team meetings.
Attend vendor conferences, workshops, or webinars.
Train for and pass sales certifications exams for vendors such as Cisco, Dell, Microsoft, and others
What you bring to the table:
4-year College/University degree or Associate degree
Superior attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly and calmly
Aptitude with computers for daily workflows and workloads
Solid written communications skills (much of your written work such as proposals and emails will be direct-to-customer without peer review) including error-free spelling and grammar
Exceptional verbal (and non-verbal) communications skills and enthusiasm for speaking directly to our customers and vendors
A true intellectual curiosity, a desire to constantly improve and grow your skillset, and a collaborative team attitude
The icing on the cake:
Experience purchasing technology products and services from multiple vendors
Experience working for (or with) a managed IT services provider
Prior experience with the ConnectWise and/or Quosal
Prior experience using a ShoreTel phone system and Communicator software
Prior sales experience (even retail is a plus)
