Holidale is looking for a Web Developer to join team at our Irvine headquarters. This ideal candidate will be responsible for building well-designed functional applications with modern tools and best practices. The ideal candidate has experience working in fast-paced environment that can quickly adapt and tackle new problems. We are looking for a leader with the ability to envision solutions and take initiative.
Recommended Qualification 3+ years of professional Ruby on Rails development experience Understanding of server-side MVC framework Familiar with common design patterns Strong UNIX/Linux experience, familiar with shell (Bash) scripting Strong Database experience (MySQL, Postgres, and/or NoSQL) Experience with consuming web services (XML, JSON) and building RESTful web services using open source components Solid understanding of HTML, CSS and web standards Experience in software engineering process through definition, design, test, and production. Strong JavaScript skills, experience with AJAX. Familiar enough with at least two JavaScript libraries to be able to compare them Experience with client-side MVC JavaScript frameworks highly desired Experience with source control (preferably git) DevOps Experience in Ruby on Rails context* Prior SCRUM/Agile experience is a plus Self-driven, can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to lead a project and mentor junior level engineers.
