Staff Accountant Job Opening in East Providence, Rhode island - Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30 Located in East Providence, RI
Position Reports to Accounting Manager
Job duties:
Reconciliation of daily patient receipts
Maintain fixed asset schedule
Preparation of invoices
Processing cash receipts
All activates relating to the payment of vendors including but not limited to:
Reviewing invoices
Matching invoices to purchase orders and shipping documentation
Obtaining the necessary approvals for payment of invoices
Entering invoices in the accounting system
Processing check runs
Assist with the preparation of inter-company invoicing
Assist reimbursement requests and maintain staff funds
Prepare and record journal entries
Prepare month end and annual reconciliations
Assist with sales and use tax reporting
Assist with special projects as needed
Requirements:
2-4 years of accounting experience
Strong accounting knowledge including GAAP
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
Ability to deal with accounting issues and analytical competency
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
Flexibility to adapt to procedural enhancements and modifications
