Staff Accountant Job Opening in Providence, Rhode island - We are a multi level company offering a high energy, fast-paced, exciting environment and looking for the right candidate to grow with us. The successful candidate will handle the accounting book-keeping. They will be developing standards based on best accounting practices, analyzing information for company financials, and dealing with complexity of working in a matrix management environment where there are employers. This position can ultimately grow into a financial controller role so we are looking for someone with drive and ambition to further their career.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping
Accounting
Reporting
Process payments
Make bank deposits
Provide clerical and administrative support to management including mail runs and other errands as needed
Requirements
Strong, QuickBooks experience requiered
Accounting experience requiered
Proficiency working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent attention to detail
Eager to learn and take on additional responsibilities
Ability to take constructive feedback and adapt to a variety of situations
Enjoys a fast-paced and challenging environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional written and verbal communication essential
Qualifications:
B.S. or better in accounting
Advanced knowledge of Quickbooks
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Mac and PC experience a plus
