Substance Abuse Technician I (Charlotte, NC) Sat & Sun (7a-7... Job Opening in Charlotte, North carolina - Summary: The primary role of this position is to provide supportive and therapeutic care for chemically dependent women and their children at the residential program. The outcome achieved through this position will be quality programming for substance abusing women and their children that is provided with efficiency and effectiveness to meet the needs of the special population.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide direct care and document clinical activities.
Supervise consumers and their children at the residential site.
Supervise consumers and their children when in the community.
Make rounds at least every two hours.
Monitor cleanliness of residential site.
Model appropriate attitude and behavior.
Provide skills development around daily living skills and parenting.
Assist treatment team to identify consumer needs.
Provide supportive counseling.
Provide assistance moving consumers in and/or out of the apartment (i.e. lifting > 10lbs).
Provide housekeeping to apartments after consumers move out.
Monitor consumer progress.
Communicate daily with the team and supervisors.
Monitor and document medications (if appropriate training completed).
Document in-logs and in-shift notes.
Enforce policy and procedures.
Provide limited childcare.
Provide input into consequences as required.
Work on an interdisciplinary team.

This position is required to provide documentation in shift notes/alert sheets, and provide incident reporting.

Urine drug screen and breathalyzer documentation
Incident Reports
Performs other duties as requested by their supervisor within the scope of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this job, an individual must have a High School diploma or equivalent
One year of work experience that includes direct healthcare.
