Accounting Specialist Job Opening in Santa Cruz, California - Accounting position open for well-established manufacturer and wholesaler of herbal products.
Kan Herb Company has been a leader in manufacturing and selling Chinese herbal formulas to the practitioner market worldwide for 30 years. We are located in beautiful Santa Cruz.
This position is a full time position, Monday through Friday. Base salary and benefits offered.
The duties for this position include:
Bookkeeping and posting of journal vouchers
Month-end financial reports
Business analysis reports such as sales and cost analysis
Aging reports
Production cost accounting
Account receivables and collection of overdue accounts
Accounts payables
Liaison with external auditors for interim review and annual audit
Compilation of royalties
Compilation of time cards
Use and sales tax reports
Corporate tax deposits
Fixed assets maintenance and depreciation
Must have an accounting degree
Must have related experience in cost accounting and financial statement generation.
Experience with audits a plus.
Peachtree and Filemaker knowledge a plus
Will report directly to the CEO
