Accounting Controller Job Opening in San Diego, California - NOW CFO is a rapidly growing regional operational accounting firm who is seeking Controller-level Accountants with their CPA and audit experience (Big 4 preferred). We are looking for someone who wants the opportunity to join a team that makes an impact with growing businesses.
Ideally you are a Controller that has an entrepreneur mind set, willing to wear multiple hats.
We want a typically risk adverse Accounting/Finance careerist to make the move to embrace their entrepreneurship side by joining our firm as a full-time employee.
The position provides all of the benefits of public accounting with multiple client service engagements throughout multiple industries, and continued professional development. It also is an opportunity to work in industry, helping our clients onsite; you will have the opportunity to be their strategist and report directly to the CFO or CEO and/or Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Execute and/or coordinate general accounting and related activities
Produce the monthly financial statements respecting deadlines established by management
Ensure sound management of company assets by creating checks and balances on all financial data
Produce monthly, quarterly and annual budget and cash flow projections
Assist with the process of establishing and monitoring the annual budget
Execute financial analysis, develop appropriate remedial recommendations and report to management
Rigorously manage cash, accounts payable, billing and accounts receivable
Management of all bookkeeping and make sure the accounting system properly reflects the company?s situation
Assist in the management of all the company?s fiscal and government conformity related responsibilities
Prepare the annual audit file of the company
Maintain good relationships with representatives of our external financial partners
Support role with regards to tax files and research
Job Requirements:
Must possess ability to engage others and to work collaboratively with all departments across the company. You must also have the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively with a strong commitment to achieving the goals of the department and the company.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5-12 years of progressive career experience
CPA highly preferred
2+ years audit experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred)
Dependable and reliable
