Job Cost Accountant Job Opening in Jacksonville, Florida - Responsibilities:
Coordinate with Project Management staff for setup of new contracts and job cost budget; processing of any contract change orders
Lead Project Billing by working with Project Managers and other staff ensure accurate and timely draw requests; develop relationships with customer base to ensure timely collections
Conduct regular meetings with Project Management on job status including costs to complete, variance analysis (actual vs budget), and open accounts receivable
Partner with Project Management to maintain accurate reporting of job cost profit and cash-flow projections
Maintain job cost and account receivable reporting; support Management with research & cost analysis as needed
Process Sub/Vendor change orders; ensure vendor compliance with proper insurance and lien waiver documentation
Review vendor draw requests for proper approval, coding, and subsequent payment disbursements
Lead month-end accounting close activities for accounts receivable and job cost modules
Assist Management in other ad-hoc requests such as support for financial and insurance audits
Post bank deposits, apply payments, perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum of GED or High School Diploma
1-2 years construction accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Accounting or Finance
2-4 four years construction, manufacturing or related experience
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
Job Cost systems; Sage (TS) 300 CRE experience highly preferred
Intermediate to Advanced skills using Excel; familiarity with MS Office products
Time management
Good oral and written communication skills
Professionalism and ability to communicate with all types of personnel
Multi-tasking, adaptability and ability to prioritize based on project timelines
