Truck Chassis/Trailer Mechanic Job Opening in charleston, South Carolina - Truck Chassis/Trailer Mechanic Truck Chassis/Trailer Mechanic � Charleston, SC Boasso America Corporation, a premier intermodal service company providing tank container services and transportation is seeking an experienced Truck Chassis Mechanic to help support our Charleston, SC terminal. This position will be based at the Charleston site with its primary responsibility of inspecting and repairing trailer chassis to make sure all are in compliance for safe deliveries and meeting DOT requirements. Position essential job functions: maintain compliance by installing and repairing brakes, suspension parts, pneumatic and hydraulic system parts, construct/repair metal truck bodies and trailers according to specifications, install electric wiring for dome lights, tail lights, brake lights and other equipment based on specifications, and assist with other terminal support as needed. Preferred candidates will have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and have worked in a trucking terminal environment. Candidates must be experienced and able to do complete trailer chassis repairs, do minor welding, read and comprehend repair manuals, have strong mechanical aptitude and work independently with little supervision.
