Overview
This role will support the administration of UIG?s compensation plans, including data entry of individual and agency commission payments, statements, and reports as part of the Commissions Payable Team.
The Commissions Payable Team is responsible for processing around $200,000 per week in commissions, spread out through 9,000 transactions and 100 files received from various companies. Commissions processing and support is provided for over 5,000 agents and brokers. This team also manages the receipt of commission transactions and status on the current block of 120,000 policies in the system, in addition to the 13,000 applications that are added to the block of business each year, by working closely with companies/carriers and other Operations Departments.
Responsibilities
Commission data entry, calculations and outputs, including carrier and system data auditing
Accurate data entry and processing, analysis, maintenance, reconciliation and auditing of commissions payable and receivable transactions, products, commission schedules, and templates
Gathering and tracking commissions and production by company/insurance
Review historical data inputs and systems related to prior commission contracts and structures and assist in management and support of the data/systems
Support of sales operations related to commissions for both the Brokerage and Career Distributions of the company, including assistance to agents/brokers in explaining compensation questions/issues
Other projects as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience
2+ years in data entry/analysis role
Experience in commissions or insurance agency operations, preferably in the senior health insurance industry; familiarity with CMS and Marketplace guidelines a plus
Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills; proficiency in manipulating systems tools and large amounts of complex data efficiently and accurately
Strong math skills and advanced proficiency with MS Office products, especially Excel
Ability to function in a computerized and technical environment maintaining knowledge of multiple internal and external software systems
Positive, enthusiastic attitude; capacity to handle time constraints, regular deadlines, and demonstrate a willingness to respond to changing demands
Strong focus and attention to detail
