Dietary Manager Job Opening in Broussard, Louisiana - The Dietary Manager facilitates communication of patient's dietary requirements with the contracted food and supplement suppliers, physicians as well as nursing staff. Nutritional care to include nutrition assessment of all at risk patients, care planning, monitoring, education and counseling. This position supervises the techs nursing meal times. Assists with ordering snacks, food supplements, fruits and special dietary needs. Ensures patient satisfaction. All duties to be done in accordance with Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations, Oceans' Mission, policies and procedures and PI Standards.
: Certification in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics or Nutritional Sciences. Five years experience preferred. High School diploma with 5 years of experience or certification.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Must be able to read, to write and to follow verbal and written instruction. Must work well with diverse populations. Must utilize Age, Disability and Cultural Specific knowledge in working with specialized populations to best communicate with those clients. Must be in good physical and mental health as evidenced by a warm empathetic attitude, respect for dignity, worth and potentiality of clients and hold a high sense of personal integrity.
