Patient Account Specialist Job Opening in Doylestown, Pennsylvania - Foundations Behavioral Health provides innovative behavioral health treatment and academic excellence to children, adolescents and young adults. Established in 1964, Foundations provides a full continuum of care for children, adolescents, and young adults spanning hospitalization to outpatient and academic services.
We are currently seeking a Patient Account Specialist in our Business Office. Individual will review and submit claims to third party payors from patient accounting system, review and correct daily reports to confirm claims submission and assist with monthly invoicing to guarantors for continued care. Also responsible for collection and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable. Reviews and resolves accounts with credit balances. Will document all collection efforts and report to Business Office Manager, any potential issues with payors or issues which may delay payment.
Job Requirements: Associate degree in Business or accounting or similar field required. Must have strong attention to details with at least 3 years in a healthcare setting strongly preferred. Must have excellent keyboarding skills along with knowledge of office administrative procedures and a variety of computer software applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Midas etc.). Must be able to protect and handle sensitive and confidential material and situation. Must have strong customer service skills. Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities effectively using time efficiently.
