Financial Accounting Analyst Job Opening in New York, New york - We are currently seeking a strong Associate to join our Global General Ledger Control team on a temporary basis. The expected duration of the role is 10 months. The successful candidate key deliverables include, but are not limited to: Reporting to the Related Party Senior Manager in New York functionally, take accountability for workstreams within the ongoing project to implement SAP as the Firm's books and records, Perform diligence on legacy and renovated account structures, assessing the impact of proposed changes to Related Party structures, working with the RP Manager, define, agree and document intercompany processes and procedures for legacy and proposed states, critically review RP reporting across intercompany and equity workstreams, and ensure similar or enhanced levels of detail are available in the future state, sufficient to ensure smooth operation of the control processes, carry out testing before, during and after system switch-overs, including cycles of parallel processing in the later stages of the project implementation, and assist with training of wider intercompany and GGLC team on the new structures, processes and reporting implemented. Other ad hoc duties. Skills Required: Candidates for role should be accountancy qualified or part qualified with an interest or aptitude for financial products and display the following skill set. Knowledge or prior experience of working with a SAP environment is not required but would be advantageous.?Committed and self-motivated individual who can demonstrate initiative and problem solving abilities ?Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. Strong appreciation of escalation and risk awareness?Analytical skills with a control focus and high regard for attention to detail. Critical thinking in order to challenge processes, solve for ad hoc queries and creativity to suggest alternative approaches. Strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to deal with colleagues/clients of all levels
