We are a Central Wisconsin based company and we have recently opened our fourth manufacturing facility in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting professional to work with our accounting team.
Position Summary: The Accounting Associate under the direction of the Sr. Finance Manager, performs specialized accounting assignments with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality and capacity for complex detail. Assignments require a thorough knowledge of accounting and compliance with Whitehall Specialties policies and procedures.
Position Responsibilities:
Prepare, validate and audit daily product formulation detail.**
Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation
Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories
Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls.
Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, liability accounts by customer type
Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analysis and profitability
Assist with internal departmental reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules, etc.
Ensure timely submission, accuracy and validity of inventory, gross margin schedule reporting to management.
Qualifications/ :
Minimum BS degree in Accounting or Finance and 3-5 years relative experience demonstrating increased responsibilities.**
Excellent analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
Strong understanding of accounting and finance processes, principles and accounting systems.
Excellent attention to detail with well-developed time management skills.
Ability to function in a dynamic environment, set priorities and multi-task.
Excel spreadsheet excellence.
