Senior Accountant Job Opening in Exton, Pennsylvania - Hankin Group, a real estate development and property management company located in Exton, PA has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant with 3+ years of accounting experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will also have some relevant industry experience. The role requires a solid accounting and analytical foundation with the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day, monthly and year-end functions within the Accounting Department
Prepare Sales and Use tax returns in a timely manner
Cross train in Residential, Construction and Commercial Accounting
Assist in yearly budget preparation
Accounting for multiple entities as assigned
Quarterly billings for multiple entities as assigned
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Semi-monthly analytics and trend review of financial activity as compared to budget
Demonstrate a thorough financial knowledge of assigned entities as it relates to their business
Quarterly workpaper preparation for assigned properties including analytics and trend review
Special projects and analytics as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
3+ years of accounting experience
Public Accounting experience preferred
Easily adapts to assuming additional responsibilities as assigned
Strong analytical, problem solving, time management skills, attention to detail and technical accounting knowledge required
Yardi or similar software experience
Proficient in Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of GAAP principles and how to apply them
Maintain the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
