This position will be based in the Las Vegas terminal but will also be responsible for managing the company?s equipment within Central California.
Job Description:
Develop and maintain positive, cooperative and team oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers and direct reports.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment per the state?s OSHA and other requirements.
Manage equipment and facilities budget including estimating labor and parts costs for specific tasks.
Ensure that fleet meets or exceeds all safety criteria set by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and other regulatory agencies including ensuring all transportation records are being properly maintained including manifests, bills of lading, scale tickets, driver logs, driver qualification files and training documentation.
Reviewing, maintaining, and auditing DOT driver files; Training of DOT drivers; Reviewing "Hours of Service" logs for accuracy and compliance
Manage inventory tracking and control.
Assisting and dispatching Union crews with office coordinators
Manage safety and quality in daily maintenance, equipment fleet.
Manage, schedule and assist in performing preventative maintenance and repairs to facilities and equipment.
Manage local facility equipment operations (forklift, crane, etc.).
Manage shop labor and mechanics including scheduling daily duties via electronic work tickets.
Perform shop and equipment safety training.
Manage and assist with project mobilizations including trucks, trailers, vessels.
Implementing process QA/QC.
Purchasing of parts and services.
Manage un-used parts and material return.
Manage shipping and receiving (trucking).
Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company?s Core Value at all times.
Participate in safety and health meetings, conferences, seminars and training programs.
Perform various other technical duties (reports, special projects) as needed and as assigned.
Other tasks as assigned by Operations Manager / Direct Supervisor.
Potential of overnight travel
Working hours are dynamic, must be flexible on either working early mornings or working late to make sure project equipment goes out on schedule.
Able to write and implement procedures.
Have reliable transportation to and from work.
Strong Leadership and decision making

Qualifications:
: Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) preferred; Maintain a valid driver license with acceptable driving record Undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, logistics, or relevant discipline.
5-10 years prior practical experience with construction equipment and vessels.
5-10 years prior practical experience in DOT, safety, and training is required
Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong attention to detail, organization skills and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
Conveys a sense of urgency and projects a positive, proactive desire to support a broad range of initiatives.
The ability to interact professionally and effectively with managers and co-workers.
Physical Requirements:
up to 75lbs.

Climb stairs/ladder.
Work indoors and outdoors.
