Commercial Credit Analyst I Job Opening in Charleston, West virginia - First Bank of Charleston is seeking a Credit Analyst I. The ideal candidate will have a four year degree in business, finance or accounting along with one to two years? experience analyzing credit data and financial statements of individuals and companies, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. The Credit Analyst is expected to be organized and produce high quality work with the ability to meet required time frames.
The Credit Analyst duties include but are not limited to:
Complete and analyze financial statement spreads using TAC Credit spreading software.
Complete Commercial loan underwriting based on cash flow, trend, industry and risk analysis. Moreover, evaluate the in the areas of liquidity, profitability and credit history.
Possess active understanding and application of the concept of free cash flow and cash flow available to service debt.
Prepare Loan summary for loan approval/rejection. Provided recommendation based on credit analysis for reasons that validate/invalidate new loan request or existing loan request.
Perform industry research when needed.
Perform Loan Compliance checks when called upon to do so.
Complete Loan Reviews on complex business relationships over $500,000 in total credit exposure. This review will include credit underwriting, covenant compliance checks, risk grading and loan documentation check.
Other duties as assigned.
This position will report to the Chief Credit Officer, and support the Sr. Credit Analyst and Commercial Lenders. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with high aptitude for financial based transactions and methodologies.
