Director of Business Intelligence Job Opening in Piscataway, New jersey - Position Title: Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics
Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the VP of IT, will work closely with the CTO, and will be responsible at times to report upstream to the CEO.
Job Description:
Kodiak Systems is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual to strategically design, develop and implement a Business Intelligence and Analytics strategy and solution with a strong focus on Health Care. The ideal candidate will possess high technical knowledge, and a combination of both business acumen and leadership capabilities. This hands-on position will lead all business intelligence efforts including ETL, Data Warehouse, Data Governance & Quality and Reporting. Responsibilities
Cultivate long-term strategic goals for BI development in conjunction with customers, directors, and Kodiak leadership stakeholders.
Design and implement a forward-thinking, flexible, and scalable analytics architecture roadmap.
Prepare proposals and cost estimates for all analytics infrastructure initiatives.
Demonstrated record of hands-on engineering leadership designing and implementing analytics solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to understand operational needs, and design technology solutions to drive business outcomes.
Design, code, test, and document all BI system applications and programs.
Data Warehouse, Data Marts, Data Base Administration.
Develop Reporting and Visualizations leveraging Microsoft?s Power BI Stack SSIS/SSRS/SSAS on SQL Server 2012/2014.
Develop a robust Data Governance/Quality program with rules defined and enforced through Master Data Management.
Troubleshoot BI tool, systems, and software; performance-tune these applications as necessary.
Provide expertise in data architecture standards and best practice including SDLC methodologies, architectural design, documentation, and production deployment.
Design and deliver end-user training and training materials; provide technical support as necessary.
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
College diploma or university degree is required, degree in the fields of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering is greatly preferred.
Certification in Project Management is preferred.
Knowledge & Experience
Minimum of 5 years direct work experience.
Demonstrated experience with Healthcare analytics and Healthcare applications
Comprehensive data analysis and design experience, with full knowledge of data modeling and business analytics.
Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
Full project management and development life cycle experience.
Understanding of the organization?s goals and objectives.
Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Proven expert level experience with the design, implementation, and maintenance of SSAS OLAP cubes
Experience working, communicating, and collaborating with senior leadership
Excellent knowledge of database design, SQL, data warehousing.
