Job Description:
The Java Developer should have experience developing highly robust and reliable web applications using agile systems development methodologies. Key activities include:
Design, develop and implement top-quality, scalable, and high-performance ColdFusion web-based applications utilizing Oracle as a data store
Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills to solve complex problems
Communicate with technical and non-technical audiences verbally or in writing to design efficient and effective application design
Ability to work independently and in a high-caliber team environment, to give and receive direction
Develop, revise and test ColdFusion program code based on customer-defined requirements
Assist in the setup of production environments including application servers and database servers
Assist in the deployment of applications into production environments
Perform maintenance on programs currently in production
Provide on-call support for this highly visible customer application
The Java Developer position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance. Additional requirements include: US citizen or Permanent Resident and must have lived and worked in the US for the past five years.
Required Skills/Credentials:
BS in Computer Science or related field of study
6 Years Min. experience in Oracle PL/SQL performing software engineering activities
6 Years Min. experience in JAVA development
Experience developing with JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, Dojo, Bootstrap, AngularJS), and AJAX
Experience with code versioning tools, such as Apache Subversion (SVN/GIT)
Experience in a combination in the following areas: HTML and XML and CSS
Experience creating web services (SOAP and REST)
Experience developing on multiple platforms including Windows and Linux
3 years of progressively more complex programming experience in large scale information system environments
Ability to apply creativity in application design
US Citizen or Green Card holder and must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
