Administrative Assistant Job Opening in Falls Church, Virginia - Background
Assist in processing Air Force medical malpractice claims, Active Duty Malpractice cases, and perform general administrative support for the Air Force Medical Operations Agency.
Job Duties
Duties will include:
Reports to the Project Manager and assists with processing of clinical and administrative adverse actions to include adverse privileging actions, removal of non-privilege healthcare professionals from patient care duties, and other administrative actions affecting healthcare providers. Perform a variety of administrative functions to include: creating medical malpractice claims, adverse actions, and active duty case files, scanning files into electronic format, obtaining required documents, database entry, preparing draft memos and other official correspondence, replying to information requests, and posting material to websites. Scan required documents for entry into the current electronic tracking system used by the Air Force Medical Service (AFMS). Monitor electronic tracking system to ensure cases meet deadlines. Notify leadership when cases are delayed. Remove cases from the electronic tracking system once final review and disposition have been completed. Assist in data collection, computation, interpretation, and presentation. Provide various clerical and administrative duties such as developing presentations, performing office automation duties such as word processing, email correspondence, managing deadlines, creating briefing charts, and developing spreadsheets (must be capable of editing, developing, and reformatting complex excel spreadsheets and presentations to include graphics and tables within text).
Minimum Position Requirements
High School diploma
Two (2) years? experience in advanced knowledge of Power Point, Excel, and MS Word
Two (2) years? experience in collecting, compiling, editing, analyzing, and presenting data
Two (2) years? experience in development, implementation, and short-and long term-tracking of surveys and critiques
Two (2) years? experience in composing correspondence
Two (2) years? experience in using standard office equipment such as: computers, typewriters, copiers, fax machines, telephone systems, and office automation systems
Two (2) years? experience of general medical ethics training, telephone etiquette training, communications, and customer service
Advanced Power Point, Excel, and MS Word.
Customer Service and telephone etiquette training.
General medical ethics training.
