LaTouche Pediatrics LLC is a busy and acclaimed pediatric office, and we are seeking the right person to join our Business Office team. We currently have an opening for a Billing Office Specialist, whose primary responsibilities will be coding, billing and auditing medical encounters.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED Coding Certification of CPC, CCS-P or NCCIS or equivalent (non-certified applicants need not apply)
One year experience in coding/billing in an office setting
Candidate must:
Have a clear understanding of CPT and ICD-10 codes utilized in a physician practice.
Possess extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
Be experienced in auditing encounters when deemed necessary.
Have knowledge of insurance billing and reimbursement denials to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided.
Have superior communication skills, both written and verbal, in the English language.
Display an ability to quickly learn new processes and procedures.
Be adaptable and flexible.
Enjoy working independently in a fast paced environment.
Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
Set priorities and meet deadlines without being micromanaged.
Analyze issues and generate creative solutions.
Be comfortable interacting with and advising medical providers on coding guidelines.
Have experience relating to parents/patients and assisting them with insurance questions.
Be experienced in collecting outstanding balances, handling delinquent accounts, and problematic queries.
