Medical Office Receptionist Job Opening in Las Vegas, Nevada - Growing neurology practice seeks a full time front office team member. Applicant will work in our Las Vegas office near Flamingo Rd/Buffalo, and will travel to our Henderson office near the 215/N. Valle Verde Drive about 2-3 times a week. This position provides administrative customer service and patient support by answering busy phones, checking patients in/out for their appointments, scheduling and confirming appointments, copayment collection, data entry into the EMR and more. Applicants with front office experience in a medical office preferred, but not are looking for individuals that would be available Monday-Friday, and occasional weekends.
Qualifications: Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, and either medical assisting diploma/certificate or medical administrative assistant
Ability to use computer software programs/medical office equipment with proficiency, typing proficiency 25 wpm or greater.
Skills: The ability to communicate in English effectively both orally and in writing. Must be able to respond compassionately to patient needs. Must have proficiency in typing, the use of calculators, and multi-line phone systems. Ability to multitask. Must be able to tolerate stressful situations, frequent interruptions, and the sights, sounds, and smells of a healthcare setting.
Must be well-organized, pay careful attention to detail, and be flexible with regards to work environment and hours. Demonstrates strong teamwork skills and attention to detail. Consistently pleasant and helpful with strong customer service skills.
Essential Functions: Accurately schedules patient appointments and completes designated tasks. Answers multi-line telephones promptly in a friendly and professional manner. Completes the patient check in/out and appointment scheduling processes. Accurately completes all check in/out information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Consistently performs requests that may include, point of service collections, cash handling skills, including journal management. Communicates and interacts appropriately with people of all ages, abilities, and cultures. Ability to assist patients in ambulation if needed. Ability to sit/stand/walk for periods of time. and carry and stock office/medical supplies. Performs other work related duties as assigned.
Shifts that this position may be asked to cover range from 7:00 A.M. -7 P.M. Standard shifts would be Monday-Friday with occasional weekend shifts as assigned in advanced.
