Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Job Opening in Fargo, North dakota - Family HealthCare (FHC) seeks a full-time Medical Lab Technician who will provide high quality care to all to a diverse population of patients by assisting the health care team through all aspects of specimen collection, lab testing, and reporting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for the following:
Obtains specimens from patients according to laboratory procedures for specimen collection, handling, and processing.
Communicates with patients and members of the clinical team to obtain accurate patient information needed for interpretation of test results.
Communicates pertinent information about patients and patient care to all members of the health care team to enhance and encourage continuity of care.
Serves as a resource person for providers and other clinical staff.
Follows the policies set by the organization to give high quality care to all patients
Support the organization as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication, assessment, evaluation, documentation, and collaborative skills.
Knowledge of safety measures.
Cultural sensitivity and commitment to mission statement and needs of target population.
Phlebotomy techniques.
Basic laboratory skills and familiarity with lab procedures.

Associate degree as a Medical Laboratory and state licensure required.
National registration with ASCP/equivalent required.
One-year general lab experience preferred
