The Senior Staff Accountant position requirements and responsibilities include some of the following:
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
CPA or CPA candidate.
Good communication skills (oral and written).
Working knowledge of industry standards (i.e. AICPA, FASB, GASB).
Experience in the performance of attestation engagements.
Experience in financial reporting and auditing in accordance with Government Accounting Standards, Government Auditing Standards and OMB a plus.
Working knowledge of various software programs (i.e. ProSystems fxTax, ProSystems fx Engagement, QuickBooks).
Preparation of tax returns (Individual, Corporate, Partnership, Non-Profit, Estate Trust and S-Corp).
Experience in supervision and training of staff.
Responsible for ongoing communication with Managers and Partners regarding job planning, performance, client retention.
Preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with appropriate standards.
