Senior Accountant Job Opening in Peabody, Massachusetts - POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Accountant will support numerous accounting functions including month end closing, journal entry preparation, reconciliations and account analysis, supporting financial analysis team in cost accounting procedures and new product pricing, and training with accounts payable and customer billing to provide back-up support when required. This individual will play a critical role within the finance team and must possess intellectual strength, drive, ambition, integrity and have a broad understanding of business finance and accounting.
KEY RESULTS:
Contribute to the monthly close process ? 5 day close
Balance cash accounts and deposits
Prepare sales tax filings
Ensure all general ledger accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis.
Installation Projects tracked and monitored
KEY ACTIVITIES:
Assist with monthly close: journal entries, account reconciliations, general ledger analysis. Generate reports and analysis to support balance sheet balances and entries
Produce installation scorecard and maintain accurate installation tracking schedule
Support Sr. Financial Analyst in standard costing and pricing for new products
Process daily inventory adjustments
File and submit Sales & Use Tax
Process bi-weekly US Payroll
Assist with Accounts Receivable collections as needed
Assist in the Accounts Payable process as needed
Ad hoc reporting and analysis
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Sales Tax Compliance
Monthly Financials and balance sheet analysis
Maintain the Fixed Asset module
Payroll processing
