Staff Accountant Job Opening in Fort Lauderdale, Florida - JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for the accounting and financial reporting functions for various corporate companies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform general ledger accounting and assist with monthly close
Prepare monthly financial reporting and analysis for Business Unit Executives and Corporate Office.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations
Assist with financial and tax audits
Assist Subsidiary Controllers in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.
Assist with fixed asset accounting
Maintain and develop accounting resources, systems and internal controls.
Ability to interact with the public and other employees in a positive manner and promote a cooperative working environment

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor degree in Accounting.
0-1 of accounting and financial analysis experience, preferably in a consumer goods or manufacturing environment. Exposure to Cost Accounting is a plus.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft business applications and various reporting software.
Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Solid business acumen, management, analytical, and problem-thinking skills.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Must be well organized and detail oriented
Proficient in all Microsoft Office products
Must be 18 years or older
Pass the drug test and physical exam
Ability and willingness to work a flexible part-time schedule that may include weekends and holidays
