Paralegal Specialist Job Opening in Portland, Maine - Job descriptionEditJob Description: The paralegal specialist is not like being a legal assistant, they are expected to provide support in all areas of criminal law, international law, law, contract law and fiscal law. They assist judges, Judge Advocates and unit commanders with a wide range of legal matters and judicial work.
Job Duties:
Paralegal support to unit commanders and the Office of the Staff Judge AdvocateProvide legal documents in courts-martial, Article 15 actions and other military justice mattersReview line of duty determinations, AR 15-6 investigations, separation board proceedings and other administrative law mattersAssistance in family law such as power of attorney, wills and separation decrees

Candidates will earn up to $2020 monthly during initial training and up to $254.91 per drill weekend. US Army Reservist also get $4000 annually for education and $350 monthly for education.
Job Training:
Training for a paralegal specialist requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training, and 10 weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instructionRequires military enlistment. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications. Actual MOS assignment may depend on MOS availability. Benefits subject to change.
