Our Center for Cancer Care and Hematology is currently seeking an experienced Nurse Manager .
Position Overview:
The Nurse Manager (Registered Nurse) of the Center for Cancer Care (CCC) is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and managing all aspects of the outpatient Oncology/Hematology Services. The Nurse Manager communicates effectively and collaborates with the healthcare team to provide and improve multidisciplinary care and services. The Nurse Manager is accountable for the direction, management and development of the Center for Cancer Care staff.
Position Qualifications:
Must possess the ability to perform all duties within a fast paced, high stress environment while maintaining a professional demeanor. Includes the ability to be interrupted frequently and respond to unexpected situations. The ability to diffuse patients, staff, peers and management using effective conflict resolution skills is essential. The ideal candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to conceptualize, plan, implement, and manage projects required.
Mandatory Education/Training:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience preferred.
Current compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
OCN preferred.
At least 5 years of relevant nursing experience with at least 3 years of progressive experience.
Working knowledge of underlying principles, policies and procedures as they relate to
Hospital orientation, annual health screening, annual safety (fire and hazardous materials) and infection control training.
