Software Engineer Job Opening in Washington, District of columbia - Experience:
Requires a minimum of two (2) years of general experience with state-of-the-art computer equipment, structured programming techniques, object-oriented programming techniques, and high-level computer languages.
Experienced with supporting both client/server and web-based systems, Oracle database administration, a variety of application and operating system software packages and Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools, which includes Oracle 11G, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Designer, Developer and Access Manager.
Additional experience required in software engineering, integration and configuration management. Must have good interpersonal, communications, and analytical skills. At a senior level, requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience, including significant experience as a programming team leader and knowledge of Navy Working Capital Fund information systems.
Certifications:
The following certifications are acceptable : ? Windows operating systems: Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS - acceptable specialty areas are: Windows Client, Windows Server, SQL Server, Exchange Server), Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP - acceptable specialty areas are: Windows Client, Exchange Server), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA ? acceptable specialty areas are: Windows Server 2012, Windows 10, SQL Server), and Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA ? acceptable specialty area: IT Infrastructure). ? Linux operating systems: RedHat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), RedHat Certified Engineer (RHCE). ? VMWare: VMware Certified Professional (VCP). ? Mac OS X: Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or Apple Certified Associate (basic integration and management).
COMPTIA A+, Network+ or Security+
