Software Engineer (Java) Job Opening in Washington, District of columbia - Java Developer
Please note this position requires that you be able to pass a Federal Government Clearance Requirement.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop new microservices based on new requirements and extracting functionality from existing code base
Write high quality, defect-free, extensible, and reusable Java code
Support AWS Cloud infrastructure automation with multiple tools including Gradle, Chef, Nexus, Knife, Docker and monitoring tools such as Splunk, New Relic and Cloudwatch
Protect your code with automated tests including Selenium grid, groovy, Karma, Jasmine + more
Qualifications:
5-15 years of experience
Must be able to pass Department of Homeland Security Suitability clearance
A solid understanding of Object Oriented programming (emphasis in Java).
Familiarity with source control systems (emphasis on Git)
Ability to work in an open team environment
Have effective verbal and non-verbal communication with peers and clients
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Docker and/or OpenShift
