Night Auditor/Front Desk Agent Job Opening in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - POSITION SUMMARY:
Checks front office accounting records for accuracy. Summarizes and compiles information for the hotel's financial records. Tracks room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front office operating statistics. Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities, reflecting the hotel's financial performance for the day. Posts room charges and room taxes to guest accounts including guest transactions not posted during the day by the front office cashier. Processes guest charge vouchers and credit card vouchers. Verifies all account postings and balances made during the day by front desk cashier and agents. Monitors the current status of coupon, discount, and other promotional programs. Is able to function as a front desk agent especially in terms of check-in and check-out procedures. Run end of day process / night audit process on the property management software.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Run end of day process in property management software (PMS) and summarizes results of operations for management
Knows how to operate PMS and other front office equipment.
Submits reports to corporate office as appropriate.
Performs and documents security walks on a regular basis.
Implements proper procedures in emergency situations.
Performs duties of a Guest Service Agent.
o Posts room charges and taxes to guest accounts.
o Processes guest charges voucher and credit card vouchers.
o Posts guest charge purchase transactions not posted by the front office cashier.
o Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts.
o Verifies all account postings and balances.
o Monitors the current status of coupon, discount, and other promotional programs.
o Tracks room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics.
o Understand principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.
o Understand and knows how to perform check-in and check-out procedures.
o Keeps accurate accounts of cash, checks, and credit transactions.
o Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.
o Makes daily deposits (as applicable).
o Verifies room charges and rates; verifies register has appropriate starting cash.
o Manages daily paperwork including occupancy report, guest list, cash drawer summary, balance sheet, account summary, history file, and housekeeping report

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE & CERTIFICATION
Minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience of hotel front desk experience, cash handling, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks.

Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need.
