Control Systems Software Engineer (Programmer) Job Opening in Madison, Wisconsin - At Altronex, we design, fabricate, install and service automation systems for the municipal water industry.
Altronex Control Systems, a division of L.W. Allen, LLC. (), is seeking a Control Systems Software Engineer with skills in control disciplines such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), and Human -- Machine Interface (HMI). This is an in-house developer position based at our Madison, WI facility. A small amount of local travel ~10% is necessary to provide startup and training assistance. This is Wisconsin based travel only.
Desired skills & job duties include:
Experience with Allen Bradley PLC platforms;
HMI applications such as Wonderware (Intouch), Proficy (iFix), RSView;
Strong electrical knowledge & troubleshooting skills;
Maintaining and modifying existing process control systems;
Work collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers and other internal staff;
Interact with clients, suppliers, contractors and regulatory authorities;
Project management within cost and time constrained environments;
Modification / troubleshooting of computer hardware & multiple Windows operating systems;
Provide advice and consultancy support;
Familiar with expanding the functionality of Microsoft Office via the VBA environment;
Must be able to legally work in U.S.
Suitable work experience in a technically related field may be considered in lieu of formal education.
