SALES MANAGER FOR SOLAR POWER COMPANY Job Opening in Cleveland, Ohio - National solar company has an immediate job opening for base salary + commission sales position at our new office/warehouse located in the historic Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio.

You will change the world with each solar system! Position Overview:
Initiate and maintain communications with sales prospects via telephone and email
Assist buyers with product availability, compatibility, pricing, shipping quotes
Explain our services and assist prospects through the education, qualification, evaluation, design, pricing process
The Sales Manager is responsible for explaining the benefits of solar and gaining the customer's commitment. The ideal candidate is a ?Solar Guide? that should be able to sell within two channels;
1) Direct customers, DIY and full-service, sourced from web store;
2) Contractors selling to their residential and commercial clients.
Our Solar Guides will be supported by Product Marketing, System Design and Order Fulfillment departments. Essential job functions and skills should be comprehensive of the following:
Ability to take initiative in closing new inbound and outbound solar leads
Timely response to all inquiries from all sources
Ability to qualify prospects and allocate time according to opportunity
Ability to acquire and maintain credible product knowledge of a technical nature
Clear, open and honest communication with customers during/after sale and installation
Maintaining good relationships with customers
Updating and maintaining company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database with new prospects, progress on existing leads, appointments scheduled and kept, order status, and other data that helps you to stay organized and focused on success
Engage in regular communication and active accountability with the office Director on the progress of all leads
Additional duties as required by the Director may include:
Assist with set up and tear down of trade show booths and open houses
Presenting solar seminars at open houses, trade shows and other educational venues
Awareness of competitors and media outlets being accessed by customers to assist the direction of marketing investments
Minimal Requirements:
Must have a minimal of 2 years? experience with proven success in sales
Excellent people, written and verbal communication skills
Patient, professional, creative, realistic and focused approach to sales
Communicating activities, contacts and appointments with customers and other team members
Internet- savvy, proficiency with email, Apple MAC, and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint tools a plus
A quick learner, with an ability to adapt
Someone with a progressive, can-do attitude, who thinks it through, and takes initiative
College degree preferred

How solar works
How to size a solar array
What is involved in a good system design - The return on investment and benefits of solar power
How to use our self-service web site to your advantage
