Sales and Marketing Account Manager Job Opening in Washington, District of columbia - LegiStorm is a small and innovative legislative information service that impresses congressionally focused customers with its unique and important product.
We are seeking a multi-faceted, technologically savvy, talented and motivated account manager and marketing specialist who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment. The job combines current account management, making sales to warm leads, and using marketing savvy to convert our many users into actionable sales leads.
The successful candidate will oversee existing accounts, winning renewals and convincing current clients to upgrade, as well as day-to-day customer service for these customers. The candidate will also provide product demos - mostly over the phone ? to potential new customers, as well as existing customers who need help. And importantly, the candidate will leverage our user data to implement email and other campaigns to bring new leads.
Because we are now a virtual company, this position is a work-from-home one, although one requiring a Washington, D.C. presence to handle the occasional in-person meetings required.
Responsibilities
Manage an existing base of clients with diverse needs from our product
Qualify prospects to understand customer needs, requirements and budget.
Maintain and expand a list of prospects.
Manage a pipeline within Salesforce, close new business and continually look for ways to expand that pipeline.
Maintain detailed metrics to support sales analyses.
Source new sales opportunities through email and other campaigns.
Manage and clean our user data to make it easier to market to the right people and to spot sales opportunities.
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of successful inside sales experience.
Proven track record of achieving objectives and/or quota.
Strong phone presence.
Experience handling customer support for a technology product
Proficient with corporate productivity and Web presentation tools.
Experience working with or similar CRM.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Strong listening and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
BA/BS degree or equivalent.
Preferred
Previous internship, campaign work or other experience on Capitol Hill or the political world.
An understanding of Capitol Hill, to include the legislative process and structure of Congress.
Previous experience working with law firms, lobbying firms, associations, PACs, nonprofits, grassroots organizations, advocacy groups and institutions of higher education.
