Senior Accountant Job Opening in Monticello, Minnesota - Standard Iron has been in the business of providing high quality metal fabrication services for OEMs for 87 years. We have 3 facilities in Minnesota, 1 facility in Nebraska and 1 facility in Monterrey, Mexico and we are opening a new facility in Thomson, Georgia. Our customers span many industries, including: Off-Highway, Agriculture, Construction, Transportation, Energy, HVAC and Recreation. Responsibilities:
Responsible for collecting, analyzing and communicating job manufacturing costs/margins and also assisting the CFO with month-end accounting, reconciling and reporting activities.
Cost Accounting :
- Analyze and interpret cost and margin data by item, customer and plant location.
- Create and distribute on-going job cost reports to Operations group.
- Calculate cost benefit analysis for capital investment needs.
- Analyze factory overhead drivers and communicate impact to work center rates.
General Accounting:
- Perform month-end activities by reconciling inventory and related reserve balances to the general ledger, analyze variances and cost of goods sold.
- Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts
Education and/or Skill Level Required:
Bachelors degree in Accounting
2-6 year demonstrated experience working in cost accounting and reporting. Manufacturing environment required.
Public accounting experience is desirable.
Ability to research, analyze, and interpret data.
