Account Reconciliation Specialist Job Opening in Shakopee, Minnesota - COKeM International, Ltd., located in Shakopee, MN, seeks an Account Reconciliation Specialist in the Accounts Receivable Department.
Required Qualifications: Candidate will have at least a two year accounting degree; experience working in accounts receivable and have both strong computer and analytic skills including a thorough understanding of Outlook and Word. In addition, this candidate will be working with large volumes of data and therefore, they will need to have advanced Excel skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Work as an assistant in reconciliation of one of our largest customer accounts. Perform ongoing reconciliation and monitoring of these assigned customer receivable accounts including:
Provide documentation to customers to support COKeM invoicing in order to ensure prompt payments.
Proactively research and identify invoicing discrepancies and chargebacks that appear on the customer?s account or extranet. When the customer?s chargeback is incorrect, provide customer with complete documentation supporting COKeM?s contention that the dispute is incorrect. If a customer deduction proves accurate, secure the necessary documentation in order to issue the customer a credit accommodation.
Review and reconcile contractual allowance accruals and matching these up to actual client deductions.
Maintain and foster ongoing relationships both within COKeM and with key individuals in customers Payables Departments in order to proactively address customer payment deductions and payment delays.
Strong accuracy for data entry tasks.
Be the backup for retrieving daily lockbox information from bank and correctly applying payments to customer?s accounts. Contact customers for remittance detail and account reconciliation.
Download payment remittance detail from customer websites and vendor extranets. Prepare and format the data for efficient cash application.
Provide general support to Credit/Accounts Receivable, Finance, Accounting and management as needed.
