Financial & Reporting Analyst Job Opening in Biddeford, Maine - York County Federal Credit Union, a community credit union since 1954, is in need of an experienced Financial & Reporting Analyst to join our Accounting Team, currently located in Biddeford.
The Financial & Reporting Analyst works independently under general supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures. The position has responsibility for improving financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends and recommending actions to management. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Financial & Reporting Analyst, analyzes financial data by collecting, monitoring, studying and creating financial models for decision support. The Analyst will play an intricate role in the Finance and ALCO Committees. Primarily responsible for in-depth analysis and reporting in the areas of cost, income/expense, liquidity, peer, branch and product profitability, teller activity, and vendor. Supports external financial audits, examinations and comprehensive internal audits. Aids in the coordination of cross training and provides back up support to accounting team members.
Requirements include a Bachelor?s degree in Accounting/finance and 2-5 years of related accounting experience, intermediate experience with Microsoft computer applications (primarily in Excel and Access), strong analytical ability with attention to detail, good communication skills, and a team oriented attitude. Prior experience within a financial institution, a plus.
