Inside Sales Engineer HVAC Job Opening in Tinley Park, Illinois - Temperature Equipment Corporation (TEC) is a top-tier Midwest supplier of HVAC mechanical equipment (chillers, boilers, air handling systems, etc) and the exclusive distributor of Carrier air conditioning products in the Chicago market.
The position of Inside Sales Engineer has the responsibility of providing technical and application assistance to TEC customers and internal employees on TEC represented products as well as developing proposals and technical/order documentation for projects. The Inside Sales Engineer has a close working relationship with the outside sales force. It is a fast-paced work environment with bonus earning potential, and a unique combination of engineering and sales. Training is provided. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a working knowledge of technical aspects of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) mechanical equipment represented by TEC
Provide technical and application assistance to TEC customers and employees
Generate complete and accurate proposals, submittal documents, and order documents
Provide back-up assistance to the outside sales force
Training for TEC represented products will be provided
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office suite)
Well organized
Team oriented
Good problem solving skills
HVAC industry is a plus
Education and Experience
4-year degree in engineering (preferably mechanical, industrial, general)
An interest in technical sales and advancement in the company.
This is a long-term ?inside? role. We are not looking for someone expecting to go into an outside sales role in two years.
