Purpose of the Position:
Develop demand for achievement of maximum sales volume in assigned territory through a consultative selling approach with emphasis on customer service and meeting the needs of the end user. Some of the industries served are including, but not limited to, food and beverage packaging, product assembly, foam fabricating, mattress, graphic arts (bookbinding), container labeling, medical, envelope, woodworking and
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Call on and further develop relationships with end users via purchasing agents, packaging engineers and maintenance departments.
Establish and build long term relationships with key buying and specifying influencers.
Sell Rocky Mountain Adhesive products with an emphasis on correcting the customers issues and concerns, while saving the customer money.
Ensure complete geographical coverage of assigned territory through an effective and efficient account base management system which includes: Geographical organization, zoning, and mapping
Complete monthly activity reporting (includes: market conditions, competitive situations, needs, etc.)
Promote Rocky Mountain Adhesives? products through continued development of relationships and product trials.
Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
Identify market potential, co-develop pricing and market strategies, estimate potential sales, and identify issues.
Attend trade shows.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and instructions.
Requirements
The position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment. Use Microsoft Office Suite software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access as well as using the Internet, if required familiarity with electronic proofing.
Education and Experience Required
2+ years of proven sales experience with background in industrial sales.
Licensing or other Special Requirements
Valid state driver?s license
