Mortgage Loan Officer - (Inside Sales) Job Opening in Boulder, Colorado - Become an early employee at a Boulder-based FinTech startup that's reinventing the traditional mortgage lending process. We are delivering a modern, fast, automated experience for the borrowers and building an efficient marketplace lending platform to connect investors directly to borrowers.

We are looking for an ?inside? loan officer and concierge with a background in customer service and/or mortgage operations to help us develop and drive amazing service for our clients. This professional will make outbound calls, handle inbound calls and customer inquiries, originate mortgage loans, and provide concierge services to answer customer questions and process loans. This professional will also be responsible for handling new customer ?leads,? informing customers about Neat Capital?s value proposition, bringing interested clients through an application, and explaining loan features and rates. Additionally, you will find yourself wearing many hats, helping answer customer questions via our live chat feature and helping to document and process loans.
Though we encourage loan applications of all types, our focus is production of jumbo loans, with a clientele that tends to be affluent with complex financial situations. These clients have high expectations of our customer service capabilities. We seek a teammate that will be able to adeptly handle sophisticated financial questions about tax returns, income requirements, documentation, and approval requirements. This professional may be asked to help in other areas as well, such as reviewing appraisals, credit submissions, and answering scenario-based questions.
You will be a key stakeholder to help meet proposed closing and turn time expectations (we expect to close loans in 12 days), stay up to date with all program guidelines and offerings, and Company policies.
You will help us ensure we are making the highest quality loans on the market.
The candidate's main responsibilities include:
Maintain quality and production goals set forth by the team lead/operations Manager.
Maintain current knowledge and familiarity with current mortgage and compliance laws and regulations and act in compliance with these rules.
Read, analyze and interpret mortgage/financial documents.
Work directly with the borrower, underwriting, title, closing and vendors to satisfy outstanding loan conditions in expeditious manner.
Clearly explain needs list items and loan conditions to borrowers and external loan officers in a manner which they can understand.
Quickly calculate income for varies types of borrowers including self-employed with complex tax returns.
Deliver clean, complete and accurate files to both underwriting and closing.
Maintain high level of customer service and communicate with professionalism externally and internally with other departments and/or business partners.
The ideal candidate has the following experience and skills:
Licensed as a mortgage loan originator and willing to obtain licensure in multiple States (CO, TX, WA, CA, FL, VA, MD, DC, CT)
2+ years of current mortgage experience
Fantastically computer savvy.
Know your way around a loan file.
Excellent telephone communication skills.
High energy, communicative self-starter.
You must be able to thrive in a startup environment; it's a roller coaster and not for everyone. Position is located in Boulder, Colorado.
