Senior Accountant Job Opening in Alpharetta, Georgia - Key Responsibilities:
Primary job functions will be month end close activities including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, research and posting of inter-company transactions and analyzing foreign currency transactions.
Maintain ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and management reports.
Ability to utilize technology to research and analyze data to understand inaccuracies and future expectations (Excel, SQL, etc.)
Ability to own and improve existing processes.
Special projects as needed.
General Responsibilities:
Perform basic tasks and functions of a finance/accounting professional.
Seek advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from others.
Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
Function as a key team member in a corporate environment
Perform account analysis and/or account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and timely identification of action items.
Prepare information in support of annual external audit, quarterly reviews and month end close, including preparation of schedules.
Knowledge & Skills:
Solid interpersonal skills and enjoys working in relaxed highly productive team environment
Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills
Intermediate Excel skills required.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of key accounting principles and skills.
Demonstrates successful completion of project(s) leading cross function team.
Netsuite experience a plus
Experience:
BS/BA in Accounting or advanced degree
CPA or CPA Track preferred
2-5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
End to end accounting experience and/or understanding
