ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare timely End-Of-Month (EOM) financials statements under direction of the DOF
Analyze and explain Revenue and Expense, Balance Sheet, and Statistical variances
Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts including grants, donations, and restricted funds
Download data from Patient Management System and conduct high level analytics
Maintain the Fixed Asset Ledger and support preparation of annual capital budget.
Supports preparation of the annual Cost Report, UDS Report, and External Audit
Provides work papers in support of the annual HRSA Budget and Operating Budget
Provides guidance to the Bookkeeper regarding reconciliation and A/P processing
Prepares bi-weekly and monthly payroll and contract services productivity reports
Monitors and maintains daily tracking of all restricted funds and grant programs
Oversees banking activity and troubleshoots unidentified activity to all accounts
Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to internal/external clients and end-users
Maintains and tracks licenses and enables security to Patient Management System
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems from four-year college or university; 4 years of related experience and/or training in an accounting role; preferably in a healthcare setting. Experience in accounting system conversion and financial process improvement preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
Valid Arizona Driver License and proof of insurance
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
2 years experience in health center setting preferred
Experience in budget preparation, implementation, and monitoring
Knowledge in automated accounting systems and conversion
